Pretty cool right? 

I made it through the first stage and got a callback.

Even better, huh?

I aced the callback and now they want to send me to the semi-finals!

Holy freakin' crap!

Well...after the initial high of being chosen to compete to be on such a show, the logistics started to sink in:

1. If I was to make it past the semifinals, I would need to take a 5 weeks off from work to actually go to the filming.  They're awesome in that they're letting me keep my job, I just won't be getting paid during that time.
2. If I am gone for 5 weeks, my wife will have to quit her night job or find a sitter so she can work.
3. How the heck is my family supposed to get by if there's no money coming in??

Well, that's where you nice folks come in.  I'm humbly asking for any donations that can be spared on behalf of covering my time that I'll be off from work.  This roughly works out to about $6,000, no small amount to be sure.  In return I can offer you this.  If for some reason, I'm not chosen for the show, all donations made will be sent back to the respective donor.  If I DO make it, you can rest assured I'll try my hardest to win the grand prize, and if I do, all donations will be paid back with 10% interest!

So please, help a video game nut complete his lifelong dream of getting his face out there in the community, and donate generously :)
